the story goes like this:

I had an original english edition from 1971 (the book was originally published in italy in 1966) of this amazing penguin paperback. It was my favorite book and Bruno Munari remains the person who I want to be when I grow up (still). I gave the book to my good friend Frank well over 5 years ago, and really was happy to have shared it. Kind of the same reason things are passed on from generation to generation. My only rule was that he would pass his copy along someday.

Well, apparently it was just reprinted 40+ years later! and i’m happy to have had the patience and find my favorite book again.

The title may seem dated but it isn’t. Bruno Munari’s words are still amazingly valuable for any human being that wants to understand (beyond any gap created by different generations of tools, philosophy, industry or trade) what links us all to create meaningful things.

I’d pass this copy along, but I think I’m going to hold on to it for a bit.
